Commissioning for Health & Wellbeing

Overview
The Commissioning Framework for Health and Well-Being – a consultation document from the Department of Health, marks a significant shift in the way services have been traditionally delivered. It builds on the policies set out in the White Paper: Your Health, Your Care, Your Say and should help commissioners to provide personalised services, promote health and well-being, proactively prevent ill health and work in partnership to reduce health inequalities by focusing on outcomes for children and adults.

In summary the joint commissioning framework for health and well being has two clear aims:

  • Improving the delivery of integrated and co-ordinated services to individuals
  • Improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities

This HCC conference will offer clarity and guidance on ‘The Commissioning framework for health and wellbeing’, featuring expert contributions from the Department of Health, CSIP and Dr Foster Intelligence. The conference will also showcase a broad selection of leading organisations that are successfully implementing critical aspects of joint commissioning for health and wellbeing, enabling you to hear how they have achieved success, the problems they encountered and the lessons learned, including:

  • Ealing PCT/Adult Social Services
  • Devon PCT
  • Manchester PCT
  • Peterborough PCT
  • Birmingham East and North PCT
